My life as a professional student is finally winding down. I’m starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. For all that’s thrown in my way, I’ve been able to step through it, with the help of friends and family. Susan has been there with me the whole way and has shown me a new way of looking at life and a new way of accepting reality. For this and much more, I am eternally grateful of all she, and everyone else, has done for me.

Now, its time for summer. I’m not taking any classes this summer so its time for me to do some things I’ve wanted to do. Yes there will be MUCH more bike riding, and there already has been. I’m making plans to do some things with Dad. Planning on seeing some state parks here that I haven’t been to before. Trying to be a better person to my family, friends, and all those around me. Also, I’m trying to dedicate time to be come the professional security researcher I know that I should be.

I’ve been working at this current company for over 2 years now and I’ve learned TONS from the people I work with. Barring a few incidents dealing with office politics and internal mandates, I love what I do. I’ve had a blast thus far and I’m itching for more. Its time to take that next step and go deeper. This summer I’ll be flying to Las Vegas for this year’s Defcon. This will be my first time going and I’m anxious to see if I can find that one topic, or that one talk, or that one presenter that really seems to inspire me.

I’ve never been one to “know” what I want to do, but one to ” discover” what I want to do.
